Overall, real estate prices in Athens are reasonable, with some very nice 2 and 3 bedroom homes starting at about $150,000 and going up from there.  For around $200,000, you'll find some really lovely 3 and 4 bedroom homes.  Athens is a college town, so there are plenty of town homes and condominiums for sale, and these can make an excellent investment.  Two bedroom condos and town homes start at around $50,000.
