| Augusta,
Georgia Real Estate
Augusta is fairly spread
out. Summerhill ("The Hill") is
the nicest area of the city and was settled by
northerners looking to escape cold
winters. Augusta escaped the ravages of
the Civil War and as a result has gorgeous
antebellum homes on magnolia-lined
streets. By the late nineteenth century,
Augusta was a resort town and built its first
golf course.
Real estate here is quite
affordable, less than the national average, with
plenty of homes in all price ranges available.
